Phone Prank Leads to Trashed Hotel

Pity the poor desk clerk at a Holiday Inn Express in Conway, AR. A prank call to the property last Saturday night led to $50,000 in damage to the property. According to a story on The Smoking Gun website, a caller to the property identified himself as a representative of a sprinkler company. The clerk, Christina Bergmann, unfortunately followed the caller's advice and proceeded to trash the hotel's lobby. The caller told the clerk to pull the fire alarm as a way to reset the system.
